Baobab pre-bonsai 7Yrs

R 500 Sale R 700

This Baobab pre-bonsai is approximately seven years old and ready for styling into a Bonsai. As a deciduous species, it must be kept dry during the winter months.

Caring for Your Baobab

  • As autumn begins, when the leaves start turning yellow, gradually reduce watering.
  • Stop watering when approximately 50% of the leaves have turned yellow.
  • During the dormant winter period, do not water the tree. While some growers in warmer regions water lightly, experience shows this can increase the risk of rot and even death.
  • Resume watering slowly when new buds appear, usually around mid-September.
  • During this period, avoid overwatering—gradually increase water and organic fertilizer as more leaves develop.
  • Once the tree is in full leaf, it can be watered and fertilized like other trees.
